For this question, I asked which age group the people who did my survey were, the majority of them said that they were teenagers, closely followed by adults. So the target audience my magazine will be based for would be teenagers as they were the most common age groups during my questionnaire. However, I will attempt to make parts of the magazine for adults too, but I will focus on making it for teenagers for now.
The main gender who took part in this survey told me that they were females. This is the gender that I will produce my magazine on which would stereotypically involve feminine colours like pink, yellow and white. This would then make it obvious for which gender group my magazine would be about and this would help to show who the magazine is targeted for with just the colour I will put in it. |
The most popular genre of music that the participants like the best is pop. This would mean that I will include a pop style theme to my magazine and include the most famous pop artists which include Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, Selena Gomez and Kelly Clarkson. This is closely followed by the genre of 'Other' which includes genres like jazz, opera, classical etc.
I asked in my survey to the participants, how much will they pay for a magazine and the majority of them said that they would spend not much more than 50p which to me is a reasonable price, so I will try and make a price on my magazine around 50p-£1.00. |
This graph shows what type of magazines that the participants who did my survey prefer. The majority of the people confirmed that they like fashion/beauty magazines as people find the latest fashion and styles interesting, entertaining and fascinating. The second choice of magazine that people said they prefer is lifestyle as they find topics about the body and how to improve yourself more appealing to them and would affect them more.
Anything 'exclusive' was the most popular choice for what people looks for most in a magazine. This includes 'what's new' or anything limited. This is because when normally, people see the word 'exclusive ' anywhere, they instantly think that it is a top news and they need to buy it or know what it is about. The next choice that the participants chose were both 'reviews' and 'latest gossip'. I will include some if these as there is a limited amount of stories that you could put for 'exclusive'. |
