MY front cover
This is my front cover for my preliminary work.
For the main title 'Trinity High school & Sixth Form Centre' I used dark blue for it as that is the colour on one of the diamonds on the school logo. I used the font 'Verdana' for the title and also the other text that i displayed onto my final piece of my front cover. I used 'Verdana' because it was simple but yet smart and I found that this relates and goes with what the school is about. I made the size of the title '30' and bold to make it larger than the rest and more eye catching than the other text that I have included on the front cover page. It also stands out on the background in which I had my friend Megan model for me. I used light blue for the text about finding the school on 'Facebook and 'Twitter' as both of these social networks has blue in their logo and their site. I have used dark red for the text on the page about 'Top Trinity Stories' to make it look and sound important for the audience to read. By having that effect on the reader, I'll be able to make it sound urgent and interested for them to read. I also made the text 'Italic' to make it look different on the front cover page. The final text i wrote on the page is about the GCSE results achieved amazingly throughout the former year 11's. I used yellow to have the influence of happiness that is what people were feeling once knowing the success they have accomplished as a result for their hard work. I used 'Italics' and made the font bold to also relate to my previous point of success and pride. I have used my friend and student of the school and took a mid shot of her. This shows that the magazine is actually a school magazine so it achieves the aim of making the audience students of the school. Finally, I have used a barcode from Google images as we were not allowed to take a picture of it from a different as that would illegal.

Contents page
For the contents page I have created, I have used as the background, a plain dark blue canvas to fill the page to give it simplicity and to make the writing on it clearer to read. I have used 'Verdana' font style throughout the cover and I have made the title of the Contents page yellow to make is bright eye-catching. I have also listed different topics you would expect to see on a contents page inside a magazine. I have made the text white and bullet pointed them to make everyone know what has been included, how many pages there'll be and i made it white to make it clearer and easy to read and it also looks formal and smart. also, I have used three different pictures i have taken from the library and I have edited these pictures by enhancing the colours used, eg. blue, red, green, black and i have also enhanced the brightness as the original pictures of these that I have used was shadowy, dark and the colours were bland. The original pictures didnt have the full effect of what the computers and library is all about. I have cropped the picture of the computers to make the main focus of it the computers and also to show the layout of how the computers are layed out.
